Joint seminar to provide best practices for TPM and CMMS implementation
JERSEY CITY, NJ – February 22, 2016 – Smartware Group, Inc., producer of the cloud-based Bigfoot CMMS solution, will partner with Marshall Institute to offer a live seminar April 6 on total productive maintenance (TPM).
TPM is a maintenance approach that aims to lower costs and increase profitability by reducing or eliminating production time lost to machine failures. “Facilitating Maintenance Excellence with TPM and CMMS” will take place at the University of Phoenix campus in Jersey City, N.J. and is open to all Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise and Enterprise+ users.
“Often, maintenance and operations professionals lean too heavily on a reactive approach to maintenance,” said Paul Lachance, president of Smartware Group. “We want 2016 to be the year organizations move beyond a corrective maintenance environment to one that identifies and prevents failures before they happen. We’re looking forward to sharing our insights and Bigfoot technology to help make that a reality.”
The live event is the first in Smartware Group’s series of Maintenance & Operations Knowledge (MOK) Seminars and will cover the fundamental principles of TPM and best practices for implementing TPM throughout an organization. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with fellow Bigfoot CMMS users.
“As a leading asset management consulting and training company, we’re committed to elevating the collective level of expertise across the maintenance and operations industry,” said Dale Blann, CEO of Marshall Institute.
Lachance and Blann aim to equip maintenance professionals with strategies for effectively managing workflow in Bigfoot CMMS as well as the key building blocks needed to achieve TPM. Attendees will also gain an exclusive preview of the new TPM functionality coming to Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise+.
“Smartware Group is always seeking new ways to improve the accessibility, mobility and functionality of our software,” Lachance said. “There are a lot of exciting updates coming to Bigfoot CMMS and we want our dedicated users to be the first ones to know.”
“Facilitating Maintenance Excellence with TPM and CMMS” will occur Wednesday, April 6 at 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT. To register, visit www.bigfootcmms.com.
Later in April, Smartware Group will also offer a free webinar on the Internet of Things (IoT) in collaboration with Scytec Consulting, Inc. The online event, titled “Connected Plants: Capitalizing on the IoT for Maintenance Optimization,” will feature Lachance and Josh Davids, president and CEO of Scytec. Lachance and Davids will discuss the impact of IoT on maintenance and operations, as well as strategies to collect and integrate asset data for maintenance management. The webinar will take place Thursday, April 14 on 3:00 p.m. EST. To register, visit www.bigfootcmms.com.
